Your first session: what to expect

Updated July 16, 2026 · 3 min read

The short answer

Your first session is a 50-minute Introductory Mobility Assessment. The first three minutes are a movement assessment, the next 45 are a guided assisted stretch tailored to what we find, and the final two are a few personalized homework stretches. You stay fully clothed and you do not need to be flexible to begin.

What to wear

Loose, comfortable clothing is perfect. Workout clothes work well. Your practitioner needs to be able to move your limbs freely, so avoid anything restrictive.

What happens, minute by minute

  • First 3 minutes: we assess how you move and note where you are tight, guarded, or compensating.
  • Next 45 minutes: your practitioner guides you through a targeted assisted stretch. You relax; they do the work.
  • Final 2 minutes: you leave with a few personalized homework stretches to help maintain your progress.

Will it hurt?

It should not. A good assisted stretch feels like a strong, satisfying lengthening, never a sharp pain. Your practitioner constantly checks in, and if you have an injury, tell us when you book so the assessment can work around it.
